Hello! I am Marisa. I live in Ohio, but I am moving to Wilmington, North Carolina by August (2012). I’m very happy about that. Afterward I’m hoping to work my way over to London. 

My favorite film is Third Star, and some others are The Lord of the Rings Trilogy, Hawking, The Art of Getting By, Big Fish, Beginners, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, 50/50, It’s Kind of a Funny Story, Midnight in Paris, Melancholia, Edward Scissorhands and plenty more.

I’m really unique because I love music and most people don’t. I love classical music (Chopin, Bach, Vivaldi, Hadyn, Mozart, Holst, Rossini, etc) BUT I ALSO REALLY REALLY LOVE A LOT MORE, INCLUDING BUT NO LIMITED TO: Fleet Foxes, Arcade Fire, Sufjan Stevens, The Beatles (of course), Frank Sinatra, Mumford and Sons, Ben Folds/Five, Saint Vincent, Regina Spektor, Bon Iver, The Mountain Goats, The Civil Wars, Radiohead, Death Cab for Cutie, The Antlers, Gregory Alan Isakov, The Killers, Pink Floyd, The Smiths, The Black Keys, Bright Eyes, Dean Martin, Ella Fitzgerald, Josh Ritter, Billie Holiday, David Bowie, Bob Dylan, Fun., The Format, Eisley, Explosions in the Sky, Neutral Milk Hotel, The White Stripes, Miniature Tigers, Spinto Band, The Who, The Doors, etc. etc. etc. 

I have been singing my whole life. I enjoy it.

I sometimes teach myself to play instruments but have never mastered any. I would really like to play violin.

I love to read. A LOT.

As my tiny description says, I really want to be within the film industry. I have been acting since elementary school, and I also have a keen interest in screenwriting, directing, and cinematography.

I’m extremely scatterbrained. 

My favorite actors are Martin Freeman and Benedict Cumberbatch. Their talent flabbergasts me. Others include: David Tennant, Andrew Scott, Alex Kingston, Gary Oldman, Leonardo DiCaprio, Matt Smith, Mark Gatiss, Johnny Depp, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Robert Downey Jr, Ewan McGregor, Arthur Darvill, Jude Law, Audrey Hepburn, and Catherine Tate.

I am very interested in deductive/analytic reasoning. No, that isn’t because I’m a Sherlock Holmes fanatic. Actually, quite the reverse. It’s more like part of the reason I’m a Sherlock Holmes fanatic is because of that interest. 

Much like 90% of Tumblr, I am in love with BBC Sherlock and Doctor Who.

I’m a Vincent van Gogh enthusiast. I love his work and his story and his words. I wish I could write him a letter.

I drink excessive amounts of tea. 

I have a thing for clocks, wallets, and watches.

I’m getting into art lately.

My mind is a bit messed up. I have clinical depression/bipolar disorder, anxiety and panic disorder, OCD, ADD, and insomnia.

I have a weird phobia of mirrors.

I have a MILLION different interests and hobbies, and I add more to the list all the time. I am interested in just about everything, so I read about everything that I can. 

I’m not especially interesting.
